Mountains / die Berge

This morning we woke up and looked out our balcony window to discover mountains. Enormous, snow capped mountains rising from the sea have appeared not so very far away. I knew there were mountains near here, but figured we must be in a location around a bend, or something, where we couldn't see them. After a day of wind followed by a day of rain, the haze (that we didn't even realize was here) that was hiding the mountains has been lifted. Amazing!
