We never expected Nikolas to remember so much about living in New Jersey. After all, he's only three. Every once in a while, he surprises us with a memory of something or someone which shows that he not only remembers New Jersey, but really likes it there.
Walking home from sledding last night, Peter and he had this conversation:
Nikolas: Papa, there are small bridges in New Jersey.
Peter: Small bridges?
Nikolas: Small bridges that the trains go under.
Peter: Oh yeah, the train bridge. Do you remember the train bridge?
Nikolas: I liked to walk over the train bridge to get lolly pops and ice cream.
Peter: Lolly pops and ice cream at Jann's Sweet Shoppe?
Nikolas: Yeah. I miss that. I miss going over the bridge to get lolly pops and ice cream, Papa.
