Seeing People / Freunde Finden

We have been 'seeing people.' No, we haven't gone crazy. It's one of those things that we find happens at home, sometimes, and frequently when we are away. You are walking down the street and you catch a glimpse of someone familiar; the person coming towards you looks like your neighbor or the person driving the taxi looks like your good friend. It's funny how all over the world, people look like each other.

We've been 'seeing people' nearly every day. With every sighting there's an initial pang of excitement followed by disappointment when you realize it's not really that person, and then life goes on. We have seen nearly all of you at some point during our stay here. You probably thought that this soccer coach was busy with his team, but we caught Patrick confidently performing a Schuhblattel (a traditional folk dance filled with lots of leg slapping, heel stomping, and yips and yodels) in a festival!
