On the front page of yesterday's paper there was an article saying it was going to snow. "Fifteen centimeters by Saturday night!" it said. Knowing New Jersey and how when the forecast says it's going to snow it really means that it's just about completely impossible for it to snow, I had my doubts. But we woke up this morning to a completely snowy day that varied from light flurries to almost blizzard conditions, that wasn't all that deep to start but could reach 15 centimeters overnight if it keeps falling like it is now. It was a day that would have completely crippled New Jersey, but hardly seemed to slow Salzburg down.
Nikolas was as happy as could be to have snow to play with and a day to play with it, and so we spent much of our time outside. We bought a snow shovel at Hofer to help dig out the car, which Nikolas promptly put to use shoveling all of the sidewalks the entire way home. It took a long while to get back. We had three sledding expeditions to a great hill by a nearby apartment building. Throw in some snowballs, some snow angels, and some attempts at snowmen, and it was a terrific snowy day!
