This weekend was just plain ordinary and it felt great. No trips to go on, no group dinners to organize, no commitments of any kind. You don't realize how busy you've been until you reach a weekend like this one, and as you sit and relax a little bit you realize how very tired you are!
We enjoyed our time (centered around Nikolas) by going to kids' story time at the English Center, scootering downtown, practicing roller skating with ski poles bought at a flea market nearby, playing tennis in the street outside our apartment, watching a movie in Nikolas' bed which had been made into a secret house by hanging blankets from his top bunk, eating Halloween candy, watching paragliders over the Gaisberg from our kitchen window, flying paper airplanes, playing race cars and dominoes and more race cars, eating out a couple times...I guess it wasn't such a relaxing weekend after all. But it was a nice change of pace to just let the time go by instead of being somewhere else making the most of our time abroad.
